Heaps of benefit in the upgrade. I have been running a MS2 on a V2.2 for a couple of years now. I actually used the old B&G instructions to do mine. http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/install.htm The ignition jumper they show is just a straight connection from JS10. I didn't go that way because I used led spark outs on mine with an extra db9 fitted to the case for those to come out and some programmable outputs as well.

Originally 4 x VB921 drivers doing wasted spark on my v8. These days I just use 1 VB921, single coil and a locked distributor but kept the crank sensor for tach in.

The MS2 processor is a daughter board with lots on it. If just a single chip, it's an MS1.
