Opto circuit or VR circuit what is the best for EDIS6 ?

Hi,
1) what is the best circuit build for EDIS6 : VR or Hall/opto ?
2) rising edge and going high for Hall/opto circuit, and what for VR circuit ? falling edge and going high ? i"m much confused about this .

its advised to use the vr input but set it up as if the edis signal was a hall sensor.
