knock sensor module required>??

Post by turboe36 »

hey guy's still working on fishing my ms3 3.0 board with xpander card, now im looking at info on pages 39 and 40 of the ms3xv30 hardware manual and im slightly confused.

i would like the knock sensors functional on my build and am wondering if i have to buy the knock sensor module and perform the modifications for that?

is analog mode possible with a 3.0 board? a little confused on what i should do if i want knock sensors on my setup, thanks

Yes, a knock sensor module is required.

Analog mode lets you use an external knock module to condition the signal from a knock sensor. You would input the conditioned signal via an analog input.

The knock module mod lets you connect directly to a knock sensor. The module will condition the signal for MS internally.
