Looks like another hurdle to jump before start up!
So here's the setup.
4cyl, 36-1 tooth wheel, VR sensor, MS2 V3.0, VRIN-TACHSELECT, VrOUT-TSEL, R52 & R56 anti-clocked, 2nd BIP373 mod for wasted spark.
I'm going to start the engine on existing distributor setup then switch to wasted spark as soon as I have an idle tuned, so ignition is set to fuel only.
I've now got to the final output test RPM, failed
The composite and toothed logs looked good (Ithink), these are attached.
Then I checked cranking RPM gauge and it read 3600ish RPM!!! (actual cranking x 10???)
Help appreciated!

Re: RPM error.
Please post your tune file as well. I'd like to check your settings.

Re: RPM error.
It sounds to me like you are using the crank wheel for tach input to MS and the distributor to just distribute the spark from single coil.
If this is correct then Fuel Only will never work. Fuel only requires 1 tach in signal per cylinder. No good if you are feeding it 35/rev.
You have to select Toothed Wheel and fill out the trigger wheel arrangements. This works fine with a single coil, I have been running that way for years.

Re: RPM error.
Thanks for the reply and I see your logic.
I misunderstood the 'fuel only' descriptor since I plan to start fuel only!
I think I will use my wasted spark settings and just leave the coilpack disconnected, then it's ready to go as soon as it's running ok on idle using the distributor ignition.
I'll make the change this evening and hopefully see a cranking rpm.

Re: RPM error - SOLVED.
All good now with wasted spark ignition set up.
Thanks again.
