You need to fix that before anything will work. It means you have configured a pin as a programmeable on/off output when it is already being used as a spark output. Turn it off.

I think it is the last item on the "Boost/Advanced" tab in TS; turn D14 "off" there.

wow i searched TS for a long time and never saw this output page. alright i turned "d14" off and the d16 off cause they were both on.
im pretty sure one of my coil outputs is on d14 (pin 36) though. is this gonna effect my coil signal? i wont be able to test it until i get home though. do i need to turn d16 on to get my other coil output or how does tunerstudio know which outputs to use for that?

also do i need to turn the "pt7- IAC 1" on to use "IAC 1" for my tach output? i did it for now but i can change it now that i know where the output stuff is

ok looking over the "feature list showing I/O pins"
programmable On/Off output d14 and d16 are off now. which should solve the conflict error. and says "spark A outpit pin - D14" and "additional spark outputs may be on d14,d16,d15,js11,adc6,adc7" and i have that set to "wasted cop"
so the computer can find those outputs without me having to actually assign the outputs to the coils right?

I think that TS automatically assigns D14 as an ignition output when "LED spark" is selected. That was your problem, you had also selected it as a user-specified output for an auxiliary purpose.

My *guess* is that you do have to do something special to use the IAC output for a tach output.

thats what im assuming. ill test it tonight cause i did turn the IAC1 on but hoping its not gonna be an issue like the spark outputs. cause it now says "programmable on/off output: PT7-IAC1 = on" but also says "tacho output = IAC1" is on.

ok tested her out last night...
turning the d14/16 solved the conflict error and i needed to have the IAC1 off or it would throw another conflict error. so i got those off and it was all good.
now i attempted to start it. just cranked with an occasional pop/burp/fire. sounded waaay out of time. so i went over the trigger wheel install process and realized i had totally misunderstood the tooth #1 angle and how to determent what angle it was at. so went back to the manuals and process to set up my crank wheel and like with my inital board set up, i found that i was on the wrong path because of outdated info.
im now 99.95% sure that google searches are really killing me. i need to strictly go off the manuals provided by megasquirt and stay the hell away from DYIAUTOTUNE.com cause i really think its leading me the wrong way.

Question:
you set the first tooth after the gap to TDC and count the teeth back to the sensor and times it by 11.25 (32-1 wheel) to get your tooth #1 angle right?

let me reask that question...
you set the motor to TDC, set tooth #1 at TDC on the crank and then count back to the sensor? right?

You've seen the manual - right?

plus pages either side.

that post doesnt help at all... i had a question about actually set the trigger wheel on the crank. i figured out where all my angle problems were coming from already and we've moved on to other issues.
