Board not getting power in car? Did outside

Postby Boosted21 » Sun Oct 29, 2017 5:05 pm

Hey quick question. Got my megasquirt DIYPNP with the bosche 55 pin connector put together, powered up via thw wall plug, and got firmware and my first base map installed. Now that I have the ecu connected to the car though and connect my laptop im not getting any signal. I know the batteries on as the rest of the lights in the car are on. Does the ecu draw power from the engine harness or do I need batteries or some plug? Or does the enging need to actually be running for the ecu to gain full power? Thanks!

The ECU is powered through the engine harness; make sure it's getting 12 volts.
