Everything was great until step 55

hello everybody im in the assembly stage of MSII. v30. i was able to load firmware and passed all the previous tests with my lap and usb 2.0 to RS232 cable so now im up step 55 and i cant not connect to the studio tuner software keep getting a messsage "no hardware detected" and the gauge cluster is greyed out this was never a problem before. any tips or advice? i checked the com port and the baud rate im using windows 10. how can i be sure if its the cable or the MS also using megastim

Check that the 5V is staying up as you try to connect to TS.
