i found a quick solution.
I can enter as ON and OFF text just a empty box " ". Then i can keep the font colour but it doesnt display any text.
But now it shows also the on/off images. But like you said it's a bug, as it is working properly in TS.

So now for me there is just the thing with generic inputs and the bottom navigation bar left.

And BTW: For connection SD to the Megasquirt with USB cable, i always need to ground the "ID" port, so that OTG of the tablet gets activated, is this right?

And because i never testet: Which values are included in the DataLog file in SD. Does it record everything like Tunerstudio or just values which are in the dashboard?

Dashboards with Generic input gauges will save with TS 2.6

Not following?

It logs everything TS would plus GPS and Acceleromter data.

Generic Sensors won't log with the name assigned in TS though, they will log as the default names: "Sensor01", etc.

However, if you load an msq saved with TS that will assign the proper names.

Did you work an odometer into the program? Would it be difficult to change the gauges at the user level (say I wanted an oil pressure gauge)

Hi, sorry for waking up a sleeping thread, but did an odometer make it into shadow dash?

many thanks,

Actually a new function to support that just went into TunerStudio last week, that will be available in Shadow Dash the next release as well.

that is great news,

I have picked up via uk ebay a panansonic toughpad tablet for £80 and am planning to make it my dash, the odomoeter was the only thing missing. Only android 4.0.4 but it should do and be good to bolt up behind the dash. (in a kit car, so can make a hole)

(I'm on ms 1 so I know my fuel guage will have to be off screen, but I can cope with that, probably get a led bar one)

cheers

Hey guys.

Been using Shadow Dash for a few weeks now and I've noticed that after connecting or disconnecting shadow dash to the ecu (over bluetooth) causes the engine to stumble. Just like when you burn a tune while engine is running.

Is this to be expected? Or is something else going on here?

Thanks!

MS2?

For MS3 SD does write data to the controller, but for MS2 or MS1 it should not do any writing.

Hey Phil.

It's a MS2 (DIYPNP), but it doesn't always happen though. Seems random?

I assume this will also allow an average MPG trip gauge as well?

Yes it does.

Does the odometer and average MPG gauge work in Shadow Dash? I just noticed they were options now, but the average MPG gauge did not work on my drive this morning. I also noticed the Instant MPG gauge from the "Trip/Economy" list didn't work either but the one listed under "Calculations 3" does work as it always has.

Currently swapping out the dedicated phone in my truck for a tablet, been waiting for the average MPG gauge for a long time and was hoping it was finally here.

ETA: My install uses a VSS, not looking to use GPS for this.

Never mind, I looked several times and finally found the menu for the vehicle data and GPS was checked by default instead of VSS.Works great now! :D

Hey guys,

I currently race in an endurance series and I was looking to find a way to more accurately calculate the fuel we use each stint to determine our pit strategy. I was about to purchase a capacitive 0-5v level sensor when I saw that tuner studio came out with economy fields that worked perfectly when I tested them. I purchased a tablet and shadow dash but it seems that the fuel gauges do not work on the tablet. Is there any way I can write a custom equation into the shadowdash ini to get this to work? Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

The current version of Shadow Dash should support the Fuel Consumption fields.
Are you using the ones that continue from the last time you ran it, or just during the session?
Is it working during the session?

What is happening when you add a gauge for it? Nothing?

LT401Vette wrote:Yes, actually the underlying frameworks are there. That is going into TS then Shadow dash very soon. But actually will let dash componets do a lot more than that.
I'm running ShadowDash MS 1.6.10 and was I wondering if the ability to use buttons in the Shadow Dash is available. I'd like to add buttons to toggle certain ECU functions as I'm able to do in Tuner Studio. If it's already in the app, how do I utilize the feature?

A second question I have is if there any value to changing the Baud rate to 230.4k, from the default of 115.2 or is it just likely to tie up ECU resources or introduce data errors?

Running Miata 0405 MS3Pro PnP Plug and Play - 2004 Mazdaspeed
Connecting via ECU Powered RS232 Bluetooth Adapter (MS2/MS3) 115200 Baud

Are you using Controller Commands in TS?
I believe those were implemented in SD quite a while back. If you use a dash made in TS with the actions assigned, it should be good on SD.
You will need to bring over any custom.ini work you might have done too.

Hello, I'm trying to use the android app, however I use a wide ODG probe and the app does not recognize, what do I need to do?
The table volts x lambda is:

Volts Lambda Volts Lambda
0,20 0,65 2,60 0,99
0,30 0,66 2,70 1,00
0,40 0,68 2,80 1,02
0,50 0,69 2,90 1,03
0,60 0,71 3,00 1,05
0,70 0,72 3,10 1,06
0,80 0,73 3,20 1,07
0,90 0,75 3,30 1,09
1,00 0,76 3,40 1,10
1,10 0,78 3,50 1,12
1,20 0,79 3,60 1,13
1,30 0,81 3,70 1,14
1,40 0,82 3,80 1,16
1,50 0,83 3,90 1,17
1,60 0,85 4,00 1,19
1,70 0,86 4,10 1,20
1,80 0,88 4,20 1,22
1,90 0,89 4,30 1,23
2,00 0,90 4,40 1,24
2,10 0,92 4,50 1,26
2,20 0,93 4,60 1,27
2,30 0,95 4,70 1,29
2,40 0,96 4,80 1,30
2,50 0,97

Thanks

MS1?

You would need to set it up on SD as you did for TS.

On the devices File System you will find the typical project structure under :
[sdcard]/ShadowDashMS/

I used the attached files in TS, it works OK, which one should I use on Android?

Thanks!

Had some issues with my last tablet and finally got a new one setup. Everything works except the economy gauges. Right now I have fuel used (gallons) and instant fuel economy (mpg) and both do not move when the engine runs. Any thoughts?

EDIT: I’m an idiot and didn’t realize it didn’t pull the injector size from the tune and you have to enter it manually. Works fine now.
