Shadow Dash and 10hz GPS

I wonder if anyone else is seeing the problem I have with the 10hz GPS.

I am using Shadow Dash 1.22 on a Google Nexus 7 2013 32Gb running Android 4.4.2.
I just got QStar 10Hz GPS ordered through the EFI Analytics site.

I can get it paried without issue, and Shadow Dash says we are connected when the GPS is set to 1Hz. When I switch it to 10Hz, it still shows as paried on the tablet, but Shadow Dash says that it lost the connection.

Try putting the GPS on a charger overnight. I have seen similar behavior when the battery is low.
