That would be amazing. I am on a motorcycle with no fuel gauge and only an idiot low fuel light. If I take out the stock cluster (which doesn't work with the microsquirt anyways) I have no method of guessing at my fuel level.

Reason for asking is that I have been using shadowdash on a commtiva N700 for the last couple of years without any problems whatsoever. Just finishing an install on a customer car, and setting up exactly the same system, and I'm getting the same issue, ie once file downloaded and started, I get the error message and force quit. Logger software boots up no problem..!!!

RealDash has gps based odo- and trip meters. Give it a try.

cool, trip too, forgot to think about that, that is pretty much the best way for me to know when to refuel in my kit car!

does the odometer work from vss from a megasquirt 1 extra? ( I haven't got the vss wired up yet)

RealDash trip and odometers are gps only. I'll add the vss option into our feature request list.

Thanks for letting me know.

Don't want them to have yo wait for GPS if I use them as the only odometer in the car.

Tho I may make do, as the speedo instantly working is the real crucial thing.

I just uploaded a RealDash 1.0.4 to Play store. It uses odo- and trip meter input from selected master speed (where MS VSS is one option).

Although, I just noticed that you are using MS1. MS1 support in RealDash has issues, and is currently disabled. I'm hoping to get it fixed for next release. Sorry for that.

ah! that would explain why I couldn't get it to connect via bluetooth where msdroid and shadowdash both do !

It was trivial, so I included it into this release. Calculating distance from VSS speed is more precise anyways.
