Shadow Dash GPS speedometer not working

Post by socrace »

Have SD v1.31 running on a Galaxy S5, and all gauges are working well except the GPS speedometer.

Problem seems related to the phone's GPS receiver turning off after only about 10 sec after SD startup. Another app I have displays mph without a problem, but that one keeps the GPS receiver running constantly. SD doesn't seem to realize the receiver is off, it still displays "GPS Active" and satellite icon stays lit up even though phone OS reports it as off (and GPS data is not getting updated).

Have tried: disabled power saving, upgraded to Android 5.0, uninstalled SD, deleted .efiAnalytics, re-installed SD from Google.

Any help or ideas appreciated!

There does seem to be a problem with GPS in 1.31. I will look into it and get a new release out.

Just got a notification from Google about a new Shadow Dash version available, v1.32. Downloaded and installed it.

The GPS Speedo is now working well on the Galaxy S5 with SD v1.32!

Also, I see that SD now cleans it's presence in the system cache when exiting, a good change as well.

Thanks for providing such great support!
