Is it possible to toggle an output via a button/icon on the dash? E.g. switching lights, various solenoids etc. Ideally I would like full control via tablet instead of having the odd mechanical switch around the console.
Thanks!

This would require changes to the firmware as well.

Re: Shadowdash Buttons?
Oh really? I was hoping to assign an output such as Nitrous or fan to toggle a relay based on an input condition (hi/low) that could be overridden or simulated by touching a button on the shadowdash instead of having a physical wired switch. I thought with all the I/O capability of the MS3X this would have been quite easy

How did you think it was going to work?Mrstoks wrote:I thought with all the I/O capability of the MS3X this would have been quite easy

Re: Shadowdash Buttons?
Well I don't know exactly, just seems like the MS3X has a heap of I/O functionality with dozens of outputs that can be switched based on conditions of inputs.
So I thought that perhaps some of these outputs could be linked to a button/icon on a tablet with shadowdash that could function as an input or simulate/override an input.
My experience is with automation PLC's, but I kind of see the Megasquirt as an automotive PLC. I guess I'm used to being able to force I/O as needed for diagnostics etc, so didn't see it being out of the question to do what I want it to do.
I notice that datalogging can be toggled On/Off via the ShadowDash, I realise this is not an 'input' as such, but would be handy to have the same functionality to switch various relays etc via the same 'dash'
Thanks

Re: Shadowdash Buttons?
Yes, but there still has to be programming to make that happen.
