Shadowdash gauges not correct

Post by Zaphod »

Hi,

I have Shadowdash running on an Chinese Android radio (running Kitkat 4.4.4) pretty flawless.

Only problem is that some of my gauges don't show up... I made the dash in Tunerstudio and copied it to Shadowdash.

EGT gauge is not working, boost target is not working, gauge limits are not correct, also some of the gauge names and some more.

MS3 pre1.4.1 beta 1

This is how the dash looks in Shadowdash

And here in TS

I already tried to copy the ini into the Shadowdash folder, but that didn't change anything, maybe it was the wrong folder?!

It does sound like it doesn't have the right ini file...

I just checked and signature MS3 Format 0523.16 is missing... I added it to the server.

If you are connected to the internet, it should fix itself on next connect.

Thanks, some are fixed EGT for instance, some are still mot working and the gauge limits are still off..
(Why doesn't it read my sensors in the right upper corner as Oiltemp and Oilpressure as in TS?)

I'd like to attach my dashboard - but the file is too big.

EDIT: Wait, I think I found the problem... Just a minute.

Jepp, I found it - I have tried a version of the TS alpha on my PC parallel to the 2.6.19 and exported the dash from there - Shadowdash doesn't seem to be able to handle the gauges changed in the TS alpha.

Yes that would do it... That TunerStudio is not meant for public use, that is an alpha version.
In that version of TunerStudio the limits are expressions so they will change on the fly based on your settings.
In the case of the Tachometer, the limits are already using an expression in the ini file, but in 2.6 they only were used during dash generation or gauge changes.

I actually thought the SD 1.32 supported that as well, but it may only be in the unreleased code.

Jepp, I know that the Alphas are not for public use - I did like to test it out, though - and as it runs so flawless I used it over the release version...
Should be promoted to release soon, it's very nice!

Thanks for your help of course!
