Does it seem to be related to imported ini file? Does it work normally if ini file is removed, like was the case with PUMPISH?

If so, could you send me your ini file for investigation?

I'll build a special version with extented serial logging. If you could run it and send the generated log back to me, ok? Will share the apk in dropbox.

Speedy_G wrote:There are still some things:

1) Its not possible to import both .ini's - As you know in TS 3.0 you also have the mainController.ini and the custom.ini
But i can only import one of both. And the custom.ini alone wasn't working too.
So the custom values are missing.

2) There are a few Status fields missing. For example i use always "CAM Fault" indicator on Shadow Dash.
But those portlog field are not available in RealDash.
And i'm not sure how to make indicators with On/Off image.
Furthermore i wasn't able to set indicators for special Ports. For example i got switches for some functions.
On TunerStudio and ShadowDash i have On/Off Images for the portstatus i want to see. For example porte0 active ...

3) Thats not so important, but maybe its possible to make that green background colour for the menue adjustable?

4) Is it possible to add a search function for all the variables? Sometimes you have to search very long till you find a variable.
Or maybe to group them like its done in the maincontroller.ini
Hi Speedy_G

1) Support to add a custom ini is coming into next release

2) I found this problem. Current version parses the [OutputChannels] in ini file, but only publishes the ones that are listed in [GaugeConfigurations] section of the ini. That is the reason some of the status values were not available. This will be fixed for next release.

3) Current version has simple implementation for this. See Settings->UI Color Scheme.

4) Current version has simple name filter box in upper right corner of the input value selection popup.

Thank you for your feedback.

RealDash 1.1.1 is now available.

Instead of parsing the custom.ini, it is now possible to edit imported values:
- Value display name.
- Value multiplier and adder.

Hopefully this new feature allows you to tweak the input values to your liking without the need of custom.ini. As what I studied, most common usage of custom.ini is to rename, scale and phase shift the incoming values.

New features:
* Added option to select datalog file format (Settings->Datalogging).
* Added option to enable/disable OBD2 multipid requests.
* Imported input values can be edited: name, value scale and value offset.
* Dummy timers added (for future Animation support).
* Improved keyboard controls (Shift-Tab, Context menu works with arrows, and more).

Bug fixes:
* Fixed random crash bug related to network usage (Android only).
* Fixed a graphical glitch of some lines showing under other graphics elements (Android only).
* App did not start if custom intro image files were specified but files were not accessible by the app.
* Some status values were not imported from Megasquirt ini file.
* PDSX-1 connection is now stopped while app is background.
* Gauge static value slider is now updated when gauge range is changed.
* Tire diameter calculator result was not set into user settings.
* The "Longest Trip" leaderboard is now working.

How well would the GPS laptimer feature in this app work on racetracks the app doesn't recognize? I would like to be able to log MS data using this and lay it over video in RaceRender. I would just use one page of RealDash as my real-time laptimer on my Android phone while logging.

Lap timer in RealDash needs to know the track finish line gps coordinates (a line that crosses the track at finish line), and optionally the heading in degrees when crossing the line. Without this info lap timer is unable to compute lap time.

Unfortunately there is no editor in app to add new racetracks. If you know the track finish line coordinates and heading, send them to me and I'll add them to the app. You can use Google maps to get the coordinates.

Is there any way of getting rid of it asking for permission to turn the Bluetooth on? And is there any possibility of getting it to turn the Bluetooth off when the app closes?

Only megasquirt WiFi adapter we have tested is from perfecttuning.net. But any wifi setup that is capable of connecting with TunerStudio should work with RealDash.
