I tried to install this but it fails to install and says "x app not installed". I've tried to install it on 2 different devises with the same result.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem?

Just to add to this I have tried the auto update witch says "unfortunately shadow dash ms has stopped" and dose not update and I have downloaded it and tried to install it that way as well. Thats when I get the "x app not installed". I even deleted shadow dash then tried to install it and it still failed.

It seems google updated the signing of the apk, it was not signed for older OS's.

I just put up 1.6.01 that should work:

I will have to have a look at the autoupdate.

That looks to have fixed both. I updated one with auto update and the other manually and both ways seem to be working now.

Love the SD program running on my Droid 5.1 head unit. Even my mechanic commented on how modern it makes my interior look and was baffled on how it works.

Will this now show MPG using GPS for speed?

Yes.

With this update I'm having some GPS issues.
The GPS has been on the glitchy side. GPS speed slow to update or fails to update. Also the instant MPG doesn't seem to be working. I get 0 or 99.
Before this update my GPS on this tablet updated at 2x steady and with 1.6.01 it updates at .5 to 1.5, but mostly at 1x.
Is there a setting I need to change or is this a Bug?

I must be missing something basic here. I don’t see anyplace in SD to select update as only upgrade options. Does this mean I need to uninstall and install new version? When doing this will I lose all my personal settings or are these stored seperately?

Right , not sure how to set-up auto updates in SD on my Droid 5.1 head unit so I went into Google Play and downloaded new version to replace 1.05. It worked apart from not accepting my in app registration which means I’m stuck in demo mode. To make matters worse I keep getting messages to purchase app and when it does this the engine has an ignition miss or stumble while SD recoonects. Didn’t have problems with old version using same EFI converter.

Help please!

Tried upgrading my tablet version and that worked fine. It is not connected to MS controller but basic update went though. Might try to start again with my head unit. Maybe I need to do when engine is off and MS connection dead.?

The Shadow Dash GPS behavior has not changed since version 1.5. The MPG and other vehicle speed based gauges work with GPS speed but it will only be as accurate as the GPS being used. Most of the internal GPS's are simply just not fast enough to report quick changes in speed. The external 10Hz Bluetooth modules are better, but if you want the best accuracy you need to go with a driveline or wheel speed setup.

The auto update in Shadow Dash just downloads the apk and runs it as a normal install. It doesn't uninstall.
It is no different from downloading the installer yourself and running it. There should be no need to uninstall.

I don't seem to have an auto update option in SD. Have tried using Google Play but maybe better to use your link. I bought 2 versions due to installing on my tablet and then onto my new head unit. This may be where the problem lies.
