RPM "Wall"

Post by 66coupe »

I'm tuning a Turbo'd 94 Mustang 5.0 with a Megasquirt PNP ecu and this is the first time I've ever messed with Megasquirt. The problem I, having is at around 3700rpm it acts as if there is a rev limiter. The AFR goes to 10.7 and will do it whether the timing is from the table or commanded. I've checked the TPI wiring to make sure it doesn't have 12v on the push start pin, so thats out. If I plug the factory ecu in, it will go right past 3700 so I'm sure I am just overlooking something in the tune. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

I won't be able to for a couple of days, as the rearend is apart at the moment. I will once it is back together though. I was just trying to see if anyone had any ideas to try or if there was something I was looking over in the ignition settings as I don't think it is fuel. Last week before it was turbo'd I was playing with the Megasquirt and it did the same thing, but with the stock computer it went right past 3700 with no problems. I do have a datalog for that and the tune as well. The O2s were unplugged due to it was while the exhaust was off the car.

That looks like a composite log. I think we were hoping to see a regular data log.
