Sample AFR Table and Spark Table?

Post by herbie »

Hello

I have about a week to go before my Ice Race season Start, and need to get my new setup running right.
This will be my 2nd installation of Megasquirt on a Chevette.
I do this by slapping a 700 Series TBI from an Iron Duke Fiero onto a 1" adapter plate where the carb used to be.

This year, I am boosting I'll be running from 30kpa to 160kpa in my tables.
Therefore I am looking for a sample spark table to go by.
Also looking for a sample AFR table to go by, so that I can crank up the VE Analyze Live.

RPM range from 500 to 6,000. (redline back to 5,800)
IN the past I would run it till the valves floated at 7,400 which has served me well for 5 years, but better dial it back.

Any starting point would be helpful. Car runs right now.

Thanks in advance

I'm using this one from 700 rpm to 6500 rpm. Works for a 289 Ford V8.

In the "Determining best power ratio without a dyno" thread it was mentioned that often optimum timing will be before detonation, depending on the engine.
