I have a 74 2002 tii running ms2. Everything up and running great. After 1000 miles of running, have a developing problem with the crank sensor. Ordered a new automotive grade sensor from digi key. My questions are, I've noticed on diy they are running the hall sensor on the vr circuit. Why would you do this?
Are there any known issues with running the documented hall circuitry?
Thank you in advance

Re: hall sensor question
The VR circuit makes a great general purpose input circuit - it can handle just about anything except the high voltage spike off an ignition coil.
