No you don't need one; my question is whether the ballast resistors are still in your harness.
My old tech left this MS1 car behind after he hurt the motor tuning it and moved back to Ohio. Signed it over to me when the city was going to tow it.
Just got pistons put in it so don't know much more about it.
Eagle Talon which has ballast resistors and low z injectors[/quote]
Im using a MS harness. No resistor box ect.

Its possible. Idk how or why. The board has no burnt spots or hot spots. I wonder what the issue is. If the VE table is upped to say 50 from 30-50% and the dead times .8 it runs.

I wonder why though. Its a v6, pulls good vaccum (24sih) so i know its sucking on that hose lol. maybe try a diffrent vaccum port for the map sensor? Idk at this point. Try anything. Im lost. Odd situation.Peter Florance wrote:But barely, your MAP is not dropping very low.black 89turbo wrote:Its possible. Idk how or why. The board has no burnt spots or hot spots. Put a vacuum gauge on a tee to the line going to the MSblack 89turbo wrote:I wonder why though. 24" of vacuum is like 25 kpa or less.
The MS is logging less than 5" vacuum

Re: Ign signal, tps, nightmare. Base map would be great!
I see, thats whats weird. Maybe put a bigger vaccum line off the manifold then reduce it about half way between the ms and manifold. it is a pretty long line. idk. Try whatever at this point.I wonder why though. Its a v6, pulls good vaccum (24sih) so i know its sucking on that hose lol. maybe try a diffrent vaccum port for the map sensor? Idk at this point. Is that the same "Tune1" we were discussing before? MAP multiply is "on" there.

Yes everything is based on tune1.I see it is "on". Although a few thing have been alterd.billr wrote:Is that the same "Tune1" we were discussing before? MAP multiply is "on" there.

where it runs well, the PW is 12msecs
See record 42 in datalog of 5/3/2012
That is a huge amount of fuel
I suspect something is wrong on the PWM circuit; someone should scope the injectors

Re: Ign signal, tps, nightmare. Base map would be great!
The deal is its been like this since day 1. I always thought or was pointed toward spark problems or something else. I had a run around with diyautotune for a monthS, calling and talking to them. Emailing back and fourth. Also had a few people that have this engine setup the exact same and MS installed and used there maps and there cars are currently running. If theres something wrong with the pwm then its supposudly my fault but this has been on going since day 1. I dont have a scope, and i can pull the injectors put them in a stock dsm and it runs fine. idk wtf to do. Such a headache its un real.Peter Florance wrote:where it runs well, the PW is 12msecs

Can you get someone to put automotive scope on it?black 89turbo wrote:The deal is its been like this since day 1. I always thought or was pointed toward spark problems or something else. Re: Ign signal, tps, nightmare. Base map would be great!
when the pwm is set to say .8, they pulse. every one of them. You can pull the dizzy and spin it by hand to hear it clear but you can also hear them when the engines cranking. Another thing i thought is maybe something was up with the fuel pump but it has good steady fuel pressure. Maybe ill pull the the injectors /rails out and spin the dizzy by hand. See what it looks like. Dangerous but....

You can use output test mode under Advanced to pulse injectors.black 89turbo wrote:when the pwm is set to say .8, they pulse. every one of them. True. Idk what to do. Could try different injectors i suppose but i dont think there a problem. maybe matt can chim in with something.Peter Florance wrote:You can use output test mode under Advanced to pulse injectors.black 89turbo wrote:when the pwm is set to say .8, they pulse. every one of them.
