Spartan Lambda Sensor

Post by MG David »

Has anyone tried using the Spartan Lambda Sensor that was recently introduced by 14point7?

Their other products do data logging as well as controlling the wide band sensor and so duplicate some of the things that MS does. The Spartan is just a WB sensor with controller and so cheaper so I was thinking of trying one with my MS1 V2.2.

I used one of the first units that 14point7 made, works great, wire it up give the values to MS and works exactly as it should.

I went to 14point7 after much frustration with the LC-1 and I will never go back.

Any updates, or other new comments on the Spartan? I'm getting closer-and-closer to splurging on a WB, and the Spartan seems to be "THE one" for me...

I went ahead an ordered mine. It has arrived but I was only able to check the box contents were complete before it was taken away by the "boss" to wrap for Christmas.

I installed the spartan on my 16v jetta. no complaints. definitely easier than the innovate mtx-l and lc1 sensors that I use on my other cars. great value and probably the lightest wide band on the market.

Guys,

We actually seem to have ended up with two "spartan" topics. There's some good info in the other thread here: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 94&t=48953

Admins: is there any chance of merging these two threads?
