Cranking issue with Cosworth and MS3

Post by ToolBoxTuner »

Hello, I am having a difficult time getting this Cosworth High Compression engine to fire up. It will occasionally fire up if I slightly open the throttle, but it does not always help.

Car is a Lotus 7.
Engine Specs are as follows:
*COSWORTH BDG 4cyl 16V DOHC 120.5cu. Bore: 3.5 Stroke: 3 (1975cc)
Compression ratio: 12.0 to 1
*Wasted Spark using DIY QUADSPARK Module --http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/quad ... p-481.html
*Diamond F-652 Ignition Coil Pack (2 packs)
*Nissan Nismo 013 0Y03 Injectors (4 injectors) Flow 480cc Dead Time @13.2V 0.677
*Crank Sensor -Custom Built 4 Tab in Distributor (Hall Sensor)
*Cam Sensor -Custom Built 1 Tab in Distributor (Hall Sensor)

Firmware is MS Release 1.2.4 20130907
Tuning Software is TunerStudio MS v2.5.05

The focus of my attempts has been---
*Priming Pulse: up and down - currently OFF
*Cranking Pulse: Lean to Rich and everything in between. Will backfire allot when rich.
I almost always need to open the throttle just a bit to fire up or it wont start.

Is there anything noticeably wrong with my settings? Please see the attached .msq file and Datalog.
In the Datalog, you may notice several cranking attempts and one successful fire up.
Assistance will be greatly appreciated.
