Help Tuning Idle

Post by spow11 »

Good morning guys,
Could do with a little help evaluating my current set-up.

1. The idle is fluctuating. I had it steady the other day. The only thing I've changed is the thermistor values.

2. AFR is spiking with what seems no input from other channels. Why might this be?

Attached is a log of idle and the current msq.

P.S. Under "calibrate thermistor values" what is the "Bias resistor value"? I have it set to 2490.

Thanks
Steve

You have EGO enabled above 500 rpm, so attempting to work at idle? It's more usual to set it to start above the idle speed. I'd go through all the EGO settings with reference to the manual.

Evening,
Got the idle better. I had the idle valve set to 100% on. Changed it to 100% off and things got better.

The EGO control is now set to after 1000rpm.

Still getting the AFR spiking from 13.5 to 19.0. Why might that be?

And finally the engine has just cut. I got a log the last time it happened. See attached. Does the log give any clues as to why?

Thanks
Steve

Just for starters.......

Dwell Type should be set to Fixed Duty (yours is set to Standard) when using EDIS.
