MAF and VEAL

Post by Lexveen »

I gave myself a present -the MS3Pro- to refine the already existing EFI on my car, an Austin Healey 3000. The car currently runs with 2 SU's that are only used as TB' s and I will change that to three double TB's (Weber style).
I want to run it with a MAF sensor (Bosch HMF5) for fuel load in steat of MAP. I wonder if I can use VEAL to tune the VE table after a basical tuning.

Sure, that is why the y-axis is referred to as load, it can be many things. VEAL won't care as long as it's repeatable.

Actually, VEAL gets into trouble when exploiting MS3's capability of using multiple load axis for different VE tables, but that is not an issue for most people.

I have posted a method for tuning MAFs using data logs and VEAL, search for it.

Re: MAF and VEAL- Austin Healey 3000 Trigger wheel

Post by Philip21 »

Does anyone have experience of mounting a trigger wheel onto a Healey 3000 Engine?

I am looking for ideas on the best place to mount the trigger and sensor.

Thanks
