Sync loss? 1500rpm

Post by kurtw85 »

Hi guys, after a few year absence I've decided to return to the fun!

I am having an issue with sync loss I believe, car starts and runs at idle alright, but slowly raise the throttle and it gets to 15-1800rpm and starts missing. As you can see in the log. very rich as well.

Any input on what to tackle next? I have played with r56(3 turns cw) and r52(2turns cw) a little now, with no luck.

Two tooth logs, one under crank and one running.

the tooth pattern around the gap looks funny, not sure if it will help but worth a quick try, change the ignition input capture see if it clears it up.

Falling edge
fallingedge2015-11-03_17.09.11.csv
Rising Edge
risingedge2015-11-03_17.12.13.csv
looks like rising edge is correct?

from full ccw I should adjust r56 and r52 how much at a time? half turns? Trying this again this evening.

Thanks a lot for your time and input!

yeah rising looks like it, you can adjust on a running engine if you are careful and watch the log at the same time
