weird AFR at higher altitude

Post by toon1 »

On a drive yesterday I went from approx sea level to about 2800ft ASL.

While at the higher altitude I noticed the AFR's were a full point LEANER than at the lower altitude. I thought something was wrong with the fuel system, maybe a clogged filter but when I got back to lower altitude all the AFR's were back to normal.

What would cause this?

No Baro correction,

I just found my AAR may not be working corrctly. It's the old metalic 12 activated, heating coil that shuts the air off. The engine is air cooled and going up and down the hills the engine was really cold and there may not been enough heat to close it all the way
