Tach input/Ignition settings

Post by Dominix »

Hello everybody, I'm working with MS2 and I'm thinking about the ignition setup.
I've read the manual but I haven't found informations about the ignition settings as "Spark Mode" (Toothed wheel, Basic trigger, trigger return, etc) or how to choose the "skip pulses", what means "ignition input capture" etc. So all the options in the "Ignition options" box.

Can someone help me, or post a link where all these informations are clearly explained ?
Thanks for your time.

Click on "Manuals" above then choose "Megasquirt-2, MS2, Microsquirt, DIYPNP, MSPNP2, Microsquirt-module manuals"
Then download and read the PDF manuals from there. (Setting up, Hardware, TunerStudio Reference)

At pag 121 of Hardware Manual, chapter 6.9.3 is written:

Spark Mode - set to "Toothed Wheel"
Trigger Angle/Offset - always zero

so the trigger angle must be always zero for a toothed wheel ? in my case 60-2 teeth

Yes, as it says, for toothed wheel you use the "tooth #1" setting instead to specify the missing tooth to sensor phasing.
