MS2 problem

Post by CPI »

Hi guys,

I need your help, i have a BMW serie 3 that we put a M5 E34 engine and we tune it with MS2 ecu, the car is almost tune but we check the injectors duty is already at 100%, i have another problem, every time i do a dyno run when i lift the throttle the ecu make a injector cut and the car does not work fine after that, only when i do a power cycle it return to normal.

I dont have much experience with this ecu, is this one kind of safe mode or any protection of the ecu?

How can i fix this? is this related to the injector duty cicle?

Thank you for your time.

First question:
B&G firmware or MS2Extra firmware?
(not remotely similar)

Assuming the AFR is sane the only fix for the duty cycle is far more fuel pressure or bigger injectors.
Might want to turn off fuel cut and see if its actually related to your problem.

I don't think MS2E has any "limp modes" at this time, but the devs have amazed us all before.

Also:

Hi,

Here is the log that i have made with new injectors, i attack also the dyno plot, with stock ecu and with new ecu.

The strange thing is that engine run fine till we lift the flat foot, after that it look like ecu close the injection and ignition , every time we push the accelerator the car stall and it´s missing fuel, we have measure the fuel pressure to check if the pump was not delivering fuel and fuel pressure is constant, so the only solution should be the ecu that is cuting the fuel. can this be a problem related to injectors and voltage? this happen with stock and aftermarket injectors.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Sorry, you've got yourself a counterfeit. It's not supported here, and I get the impression it's not really supported very well by the guys who made it, either.

As Matt says, counterfeits are prohibited here. De-activating user account per forum policy.

To the original poster - who sent a message.

Just think what would happen if you posted on a Motec, Holley, AEM, Haltech or whatever support forum about a counterfeit version of their product. I don't think your user account would last long there either.

Perhaps users could petition to be un-banned if they send a video on YouTube of destroying their counterfeit ECU in spectacular fashion and then installing a genuine MegaSquirt product. In this case, we happen to have a genuine MegaSquirt that would plug right in:

very confusing the pnp box i for the 1991-1993 models.
this should be the s38b38 and is not compatible with the older s38b36
