Car will not hold idle after running hard for a while
Hi everyone.
So, I tested the car a few nights ago, and this happens every time I run it hard (WOT for some time, changing gears, etc)
In the logs attached, you can see at around second 290, that I put my foot on the clutch, and the RPM will drop to 0. I "jump start the car" and then at around 300s, I stopped at the toll. Here the idle was just bouncy, for no reason (to me). MAT is perfectly low, nothing indicates the reason why it bounces like that.
What can be happening? What can I do?
Thanks

I'm not sure if it simply leaned out or if the sensor was too hot and giving a false reading, but you might want to try adding more fuel in the very low load areas around 2000 RPM.

Re: Car will not hold idle after running hard for a while
That would maybe cure the drop RPM, but not the idle, right?
I'll do that.
I also have something strange, to which I don't have a log just now, which is:
at idle, stab the gas a bit, it will raise rpm, and when it comes down, it goes lean, almost dies at 600 or 500rpm, and then kicks back up (sometimes it dies).
if I don't stab it, just baby it to the same rev, take my foot out, it will drop down easy, and stay at the idle RPM.
I'll do that.

look at your manifold and how fuel enters the air. To me it seems you have some sort of delay in fuel delivery to the cyls.

It's not my engine, but it's just like this:

Did you check for vacuum leaks ?
Re: Car will not hold idle after running hard for a while
Yes, all is perfectly fine. Idling, it will do 20 something kpa, IIRC

You have overrun fuel cut and EGO control both turned on. I would turn them both off until you can get a stable tune. I'm not a pro, but I found that they can confuse issues like this one.

Re: Car will not hold idle after running hard for a while
From what I see in your data log you have not achieved a stable idle yet.
Also as 72bluevr6 mentioned I would disable over run fuel cut.
If you want to leave it on then you need to lower the return fuel kpa to 18 to 20.

I do have a stable"ish" idle, but not showing here as I mentioned, that this only happens after pulling hard.

Have you tried turning off over run fuel cut?

No, not yet. Will do so next time I'll go out for a drive.
Thanks for the tips.
