Hello all,
I just finished building a 1986 Audi 4000 CS Quattro with an Audi 3B Turbo motor running a K26 turbo.
Being that this is my first MS build, I'm a little in over my head tuning wise, trying to get a stable idle and ensure my maps are not running me too lean or too rich.
Specs:
Megasquirt 1 Extra
Injectors running in Simultaneous mode
Ignition (5 Window Distributor) controlled by Megasquirt with single coil
No Intercooler yet, future addition.
I've added the log from a brief lap around the streets, I didn't push it too hard to ensure I wouldn't damage the motor due to me being unsure of my tune.
Current VE/Ignition tables:
Goal in the short term is just to get the motor close to OEM output as possible (227 BHP @5900 RPM and 258 ft lbs at 1950).

You will have a much easier time tuning the fuel map with a wideband O2 sensor.

Yeah, I need to pick one up.Matt Cramer wrote:You will have a much easier time tuning the fuel map with a wideband O2 sensor.

What about issues bogging under load? I'm suspicious of fuel pressure dropping since I'm running simultaneous injection, and I'm getting black smoke on acceleration. It'll rev to about 3000 RPM and then start coughing/sputtering and bog like its either losing fuel or losing sync with the distributor.
