could installing a lightened flywheel alter your VE?

I guess not, but Acc enrichment could be different.

No. Most likely your enrichment settings will need to be retuned and you may need to adjust idle settings so it doesnt stall when dropping from high rpm.

yeah... Idle seems wonky, had not even thought about acceleration enrichment.

I went from an aluminum flywheel (12.5 lb) to a stock cast iron flywheel (32 lb).

I didn't have to do any tuning, not sure about your application.

Three things I did notice were throttle response, clutch engagement and a more stable idle when accessories load the alternator.

my experience has shown that anything you do that alters the rotational weight it will affect your ve table and accel enrichments. the bigger the change in weight the more change in the ve table and or accel enrichments. I went to a smaller torque convertor and lost about 15 lbs of rotational weight, I ended up changing several bins in the ve table because the engines response was different. It didn't take big changes but some changes were from about 33 in the idle ve bins to 37, which gave me the same idle quality I had with the heavier convertor.
