Trigger Offset Clarification

Post by Ghostin »

Hey Guys - So I've searched and run across other similar topics and am still a little unclear on how this should be done correctly so I could use some input, below are the steps I've taken

- Set fixed advanced to 10*
- Verify car with light, correct light until mark on pulley lines up with TDC pointer to get reading.
- TDC pointer and mark on pulley line up at 16* according to timing light.
- Set offset angle in trigger wizard to 16*
- Set Fixed advance back to Table, burn.

Has this been done correctly? Should my offset setting be 16 or 26*?

If this is completely incorrect please explain why and what I should do. It would be greatly appreciated. Again, I know this has been covered but is confusing for some reason.

Note - When values are changed in trigger wizard, they do not show up above in the black box. The values reman at zero. Is this normal? I am running beta currently.

Thanks as always

Sorry, thought this one was generic enough that it wouldn't matter much. My mistake.

Setup is a 5.3 turbo/ 4L80 on microV3.

It's an offset. Most likely 6 degrees will align the timing.

This is covered in the manual. http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/Meg ... .4-45.html

Thanks James. I just made this more complicated than it should have been.
