Tuning Help
Ok, I'm running a GM4.8 24xmotor with dekka 80's, 78mm turbo, ls1 intake, tick stage one cam, and gold box, bolted to a 4l80. I have basic tune installed that came programmed in the gold box. The trunk starts and idles but runs rough, back fires from time to time. The AFr at idle is between 13.5 and 15.5 at 530 rpm. When I put the truck in gear the motor stalls out. I'm pretty new to tuning but have tried, putting fuel in and taking it out. The afr changes but the motor still runs the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Tuning Help
Can you post a data log too?

Ok, This is a data log of me starting the truck, letting it idle and then taking it to 4000 rpm. It idles really low and then slowly gets better. But if I put it in gear it stalls out.

Re: Tuning Help
The very first thing you need to do is adjust your throttle stop so a warmed up engines idles at your target rpm.
Then you need to work on getting a stable idle before any thing else.
Recheck all your settings and verify timing at the crank with a timing light if you haven't already.

How do I go about adjusting the throttle stop?

Re: Tuning Help
There should be a set screw on the throttle body to do it.
Start the engine and let it get to operating temperature then set the idle where you want it to be.
Have you verified timing with a timing light?
The reason I ask is 50% throttle to achieve 4000 rpm with out load is not normal.

Re: Tuning Help
I have not, I just went and picked up the light from my brother. I think the timing is too far advanced though. Thanks for your help
