MS2 V3.0 "connection problem"

I recently finish my ms2 assembly on my mini,
I'm only using direct coil (ford), VR sensor(36/1 wheel) and TPS, i'ts a temporary engine still on carb so just for ignition.

First, I cant set off map sensor, wend I try to put it off on " General settings" give me an error, so I have the tps calibrated but no ignition advance by tps

Second the car starts and tunerstudio freezes after a few seconds or if I try to open any menu, cant do logs also. I have to shut down, disconnect the usb adapter and connect again.

Are you selecting AlphaN for your primary loads before trying to select None for the Map sensor?

Probably that will sort,I dint mess on the fuel options as i'm only using for spark ring now, its on "Speed Density" that needs MAP.

Will try that tomorrow.

Same thing after changing to AlphaN, I'm a compleat newby at this.

And also software freezes If I start the car wend connected, and iff a connect laptop after starting the engine, it freezes after a few secons.

Ok so you also have to disable the Multiply Map on that screen as well. How are you connecting to the ECU. Is it going offline or is the program locking up and not responding? If you are using a usb to serial cable what type is it? anything other than FTDI can give a lot of connection issues.

I believe that the Multiply Map is set to "don't multiply". will have a look later.

Tunerstudio goes offline and do not respond iff I try to start whit the cable connected, wend I connect it after starting the car a can see reading for a few seconds and after that goes offline and freeze, I'm using serial to usb adapter (cheap) that I already use whit megajolt, whit the stim and engine off works fine also.

Is there a particular reason that you want to disable the MAP sensor?

I'm running tps, and for the 16V engine will need tps.

As it is the TPS doesn't work on the advance curve, um running only 2D map. I dont even have the map sensor installed, could this be the problem?

TPS is calibrate and gauge is shoeing activity but no advance on the ignition map.

Probably its some configuration I messed up.

The Megasquirt doesn't know if the MAP sensor is installed, so that's not a problem.

Having it enabled doesn't change the fuel or spark algorithms either.

TPS is now funcional,

Din't see and forgot to set "primary ignition load to AlphaN" and select TPS for AFR table load and EAE curve load.

All fine,

The connection problem remains, is blocking the software and stay offline every time I connect the cable whit the engine on, will try another laptop and order a new cable if that fails.

Tested whit another laptop works fine, a fresh format should solve..

Still having problems whit the connection on my laptop, I now have a FTDI cable and still the same, works fine until e start the car, and whit the engine running connection is lost, tunnerstudio goes offline and the cable simple disappear from "device manager"

With 340 cable works 10 to 15 seconds before lost connection and tunnerstudios offline, same cable that works fine in another laptop

Laptop is a Asus 1215B, fresh formatted, only with win10, latest updates, tunner studio, and last FTDI drivers from ftdichip.
