How to set the MS3 Idle value

Post by Oscar98 »

How do I set the idle RPM up and down from the MS3X/3.57? OR can you?

Mine seems to always idle at between 1000 and 1100 RPM.

I tried to manually do it on the TPS set screw but that did not seem to work unless maybe I did not turn it enough.

I also tried to mess with the IAC Stepper control (GM square 4 wire type) to no avail.

Is there a Idle value setting that I am missing?

Thank you for any suggestions.

I thought someone might know if there was an idle value setting in the settings.

not sure how the datalog file will help, but I will grab one next time I start it.

Is the .msq file the actual settings "calibration"?

Thank you

If your idle is too high and you idle valve is closed, you either need to set you throttle set screw or you have an intake leak. There is nothing the ECU can do if there is too much air coming in.

Yes, there are many "idle value settings" that we know of, but the MSQ is needed to help you figured out if you have some way off.

The msq is your current tune file (so we can see your settings), and a data log will show what MS is commanding the IACV to do.
