I have a VTec Honda motor that has the Vtec solenoid controlled by my MS3 / MS3x setup. For fun, I switched the Vtec wile idling just to show a friend how Cammy the motor became. Notice how stable the idle is on the first half of the log and how the motor responded when I activated the Vtec high power cams. At the end of the log, I switched back to the low power cams.

I plan to tun the motor Speed Density below 3500 RPM on the low cams and on Alpha-N above 3500 RPM on the high cam. We will see how well the motor responds to this logic soon. Right now I am fighting 1/2 shafts. Go figure.
Way cool stuff

Re: Big Cam vs Small Cam Idle
Thanks for the log! I really like such stuff.
Seems the increased MAP caused the engine to run way too rich, though.

Re: Big Cam vs Small Cam Idle
I had not tuned the motor to run on the big cam at those rpm ranges. I was one of those "check this out" type things.
