why does my ego correction act like this?

Post by Harv »

I'm still trying to figure out how to use the datalogs and make heads or tails of them.

Why does my ego correction max out at like 107.5% and drop to 85%?

Thanks for any help.

Because you're either richer or leaner than the target AFR and it's trying to hit the target. Your controller authority is set to +/- 15% so 85% is the max value.

Thanks for the reply. Should I change it to 25 or 30%?

Or should the VE table be better?

I'd probably work more on the VE table.

For example, at one point in your log, you were at 13AFR with 85% correction while the target was 14.7. It needs closer to 25% correction to hit that target and at that point, and that's a large amount of EGO correction. I like to try to hit an AFR of at least +/- 10% from target and let EGO correction do the rest

Since you're using ITB mode, I'd rescale the VE table to have the full 0-100% TPS range. You don't have any fuel points below 20% throttle but that can be a huge fuel swing at low load.

Yes this gives me concern. Its like I don't have enough resolution in my low load area.

I think my idle valve is sticking open and its killing my resolution in the SD area under the curve. It bleeds off the manifold that the MAP sensor is connected to.
