Looking to get pointed in the right direct to help get my idle smoother.
Attached are 2 logs and my .msq
Both logs are only 10 or 15sec of idling while the car was warmed up. The only difference was that EGO authority was off on one and on with the other.
I'm see 160rpm swings and I'm looking for advice. I know i don't have a perfect tune but the car drives alright. Accel Enrichment etc hasn't been tuned yet.
Engine info, Chevy 383, LT1 (GenII)
CC503 cam 224/230@.05 ..I'm going with .06 so 268.8/276
Seq fuel/spark
20-30mi on new motor
Any help is appreciated

Re: Need some help with Idle. 383 LT1
You need to flatten out both the VE table and ignition advance table in the area of idle. Look at the logs, look for spark advance and VE1, you can see them cycling up and down. If you want a steady idle they have to be dead steady to start with, I also always turn off ego correction at idle as it leads to cycling.
