TIme based AE not consistent?!

Post by roulli »

Hi,

My AE seems to be not consistent, or I do not understand how it is supposed to work.
Here's the problem.
I set up AE with 100%TPSdot to get rid of the hesitation when I blip the throttle at idle. (Acceler. time =0,3s , Acceler. taper time = 0,3 s) Worked fine...

However, when I accelerate abruptly while I drive, AFR goes much too rich and the car hesitates.

I analyzed the Log and found the following:
1) When AE is triggered, while blipping @ idle, the amount of AE is lower than configured (not 0,3s +0,3s taper), but enough to avoid hesitation when reving. (see events at 1147,632 and 1157,777)
2) When AE is triggered, while driving , the length of the AE-pulse is much longer than configured, and the AFR goes totally rich. --> The car hesitates (see event at 1200,190)

Why does AE not generate a consistent length of enrichment pulse as configured in "time based enrichment"?

Best regards,
Patrick

it depends on how fast you press the pedal, you have to tune the curve after that. looks to me that accel pulsewith is to much.
the 0.3s is only for how long the pulse in the curve is injected.

so you have to tune the curve, try give it a little less. and try with 0.2s
