Hey Everyone,
I have a Gold box and am changing my fuel system from gas to e85. I just wanted someone to confirm that I have changed all the appropriate settings.
I went into the project settings and changed wideband from AFR to Lambda and also changed the Stoichiometric value under General settings from 14.7 to 9.9.
Is there anywhere else that I need to change any settings?
Thanks

Re: First time changing from Gas to E85
Do you want to change to lamda? I'm on e85, left 14.7 in the general tab and run gas afr numbers in the table which matches my gas wideband numbers
Only thing I changed was the stoich in the reqfuel calc
Once the reqfuel is setup you will need change the cranking air and possibly fuel

Yes I wanted to force myself to start learning to do lambda since it makes switching between fuels a bit easier.nathaninwa wrote:Do you want to change to lamda? I'm on e85, left 14.7 in the general tab and run gas afr numbers in the table which matches my gas wideband numbers

Re: First time changing from Gas to E85
If you're using "incorporate AFR" you'll need to change to 9.8-9.9 there as well.

Yes I am. That is where I changed the Stoich value under general settings.Rick Finsta wrote:If you're using "incorporate AFR" you'll need to change to 9.8-9.9 there as well.

Re: First time changing from Gas to E85
I've been trying to get myself to learn Lambda too, after my engine is broken in I plan on swapping over to E-85.

Re: First time changing from Gas to E85
I am a little confused as I have switched from gas to e85 recently,
I changed the Stoich number in required fuel to the e85 value 9.78 or there abouts.
I noticed when doing so it automatically changed the stoich afr number under the general tab too, also to 9.78.
I do understand my afr sensor is lambda (ngk gen2) and only displays a value of that based on the afr (gas) scale and I assume the MS3 takes the 0-5v value as a lambda number too even though it is scaled to gas afr in tuner studio.
But what I am confused about now is the afr tables, do I need to change my 0-5v values to the e85 afr scale and change my desired afr tables to suit ? Or can I just leave the req fuel stoich number and general stoich number at 9.8 for e85, and keep my gas scale afr table ?
