AC Idle Up TPSdot

Post by jsdevel »

I've recently gotten AC idle up working nicely at idle. I was wondering if it's possible to turn it off when I stomp on the throttle, and have it turn back on after a configurable amount of time.. Is this feature part of any current firmware?

I'm guessing you're not using MS2 or MS3? Because if it is, option is there for A/C compressor shut off.

Does the car have an a/c out off relay? I'd use that relay.

I'm using MS2/msextra-3.4.2. I have IAC2A controlling an external relay that switches on the compressor. Works great when I turn my AC switch on/off, but I'm not finding an option for AC compressor shutoff anywhere in TS (registered version). Where can I find these settings?

Also, I was looking at the source code for the AC idle up / WOT cutoff and didn't find anything.

Sucks :( I was looking through the MS3 source and I found ac_idleup_tps_offpoint. Didn't find that in the MS2 source, so I'm guessing that TPS shutoff is only a feature of MS3. I'm guessing for space constraints it didn't make the cut for MS2?

I suppose if I could build the MS2 source I could modify it for personal use. I wouldn't have the option in TS, but at least I'd be able to hard code a value, like 80% or something.
