MSDroid 0.3a4 Change Log

Trev has just pushed the latest version to Google Play, here is the list of changes :-

• Added web service to download firmware ini files when the current firmware's ini file is not present on the Android device
• Added possibility of selecting multiple cells in table view (ex: VE table, Spark table, etc)
• Added support for Prolific USB device
• Added auto detection of USB device which launch the app as soon as the USB device is connected
• Added calibrate TPS functionality
• Fixed crash on screen rotation in log viewer with map
• Fixed GPS data not always being saved in datalog
• No longer requires Bluetooth hardware in the device

The Hi-Res compatibility issue should be fixed in this version as well.

And pretty 3D table should be there too, you just can't tune with them yet but they sure looks pretty

Still can't get it to connect to the MS3 Pro and yet it works fine with both of Phil's loggers (old and new).

I can't think of anything else than something else is connected to the bluetooth adapter (ShadowDash ?), assuming the error message is not that the ini cannot be found.

Well, all I'm doing is updating the MSDroid app, trying to connect. Fail. Try Phil's products... it works. Try MSDroid again... fail. Try Phils... it works. I then reboot the phone, try MSDroid... fail.

Is there any kind of logging or connection report produced that you can review?

That's Bluetooth, right ? What about USB, does it work ?

Seb, I believe this isn't a Bluetooth connection level problem but rather a compatibility issue with the latest MS3 definition file.

For those of you who aren't having success with this, please let us know exactly what status message(s) you see and what the status page says (rather than 'just fails').

I will upgrade to the latest MS3 firmware tonight and test.
