msdroid crashes on pre1.3.alpha4

as anticipated msdroid crashes when dropping the ini in for MS3 pre1.3.alpha4 . have you guys devised a patch as in SD from this thread http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 33&t=49736

It shouldn't crash (I just tried it yesterday actually) but it won't support some features. New version is in the work to support all the new MS3 stuff. Please report the crash and write a little comment so I can see what exactly is going on.

right u r. I mistakenly dropped the ini that phil sent me to correct the SD crash instead of the actuak 1.3a4 ini. my mistake

Ah, that's cool. Hopefully 0.3a4 will perform well enough for you to have dashboard functions at least with MS3 pre1.3a4, but the next MSDroid release will have far better support for it.

dashboard works and I thumbed through the basic tune settings and seems to be there . I use SD for dash display because its mounted behind me on the roll bar and HUD is good for that. I stopped toting the laptop around so much now so I wanted to have MSDroid at least functional in case I wanna make a quick tweak here or there.

Does this support the lastes firmware sigs? 3.2.5 and the 3.3 alpha/beta13 stuff. I'm not getting the same response back like from shadow logger.

The current release is probably missing some features from those newer firmwares. The good news is that most of those new features are already implemented for the next release. New release should happen in the next month or so hopefully!

I was able to add the ini into the msdroid folder and got it to work.

Oh yeah, it will still connect just fine. Some tuning stuff won't be available tho, that's all
