Hey all,
I've used MSdroid on my Nexus 5 to connect to my Microsquirt over a RovingNetworks Bluetooth serial adapter and it connects fine. (I can also connect to it with TunerStudio from the laptop fine.) However, when I try to use my old Nexus One, I can pair with the BT adapter and select it in the MSdroid, but when I try to connect it just says "connecting" forever.
Is anyone aware of any hitches when using MSdroid over Bluetooth on earlier Android versions or something? (It runs Android 2.3.6.)

Re: Android can't connect over Bluetooth
On earlier versions of Android (2.2, 2.3.x) there were indeed problems with the Bluetooth stack which meant that a few hacks were required to connect with certain Bluetooth interfaces.
You might have some luck if you try another Bluetooth interface. But having said that, a cheap used Android device running a newer OS version may actually cost less than buying a new Bluetooth interface.
