Sorry, stupid question time.

I need to swap USB ports on my laptop when using the Prolific convertor as it keeps getting in the way with the passenger seat. I understand that the USB port is configured when first using this interface and TS connects after configuration. Is there an easy to change ports without starting from scratch?

Hmm, is your laptop android? This is the MSDroid forum.

If it's tuner studio from memory it searches for the different ports, and it's also easy to change manually after the fact.

MS Droid and android appears to use the same device, though unless you have a hub it's unlikely you'd have more than one serial device plugged in. And thus no different devices to select from.

Thank you god the reply. I'm working off a PC running Windows and didn't realise this thread was in the Droid arena. Rather than start a new thread figured post was relevant to USB devices.
I will try your suggestion today with port swap but doubt if it will work. I seem to recall using wrong port before and having Comms issue connecting with TS.

Use device manager to determine which port the serial interface was assigned. Set that in tuner studio, then use the test Comms option.
