MSDroid Speed gauge in Miles per hour

Post by arran »

Hi,

I can't find a setting to make the speed gauge read in metric rather than imperial. It seems to be reading in mph, i would much prefer kph.

It behaves nicely in tuner studio (calibrated with pulses per km)

You obviously must have a speed gauge on the dash already...
Once you have the gauge on your dash, highlight it to bring up edit.
Edit the gauge....go to where it says speed gauge mph.....touch that....it brings up the choices box.(for lack of better word)
At the bottom is "main-X-Code dev...touch that... and then scroll down to your GPS speed choices.

One of which is GPS Speed (KM/H).....

You are good to go then.

Hi,

No good unfortunately. I can't see any speed related selections in xcode, and i probably should have clarified that i am using a hall effect speed input rather than gps.

i tried vss2 just in case but it just reads 0

I thought there was a setting for speed units in the app settings option. Have you tried looking there?

Yes,

Project settings, app settings, gauge edit. Can find the Celsius/Fahrenheit selection, but no speed options.

I have 2.5 beta 0 installed, app store is not telling me that there are any updates.

Any news about the update with a speed KM/H option?

From memory my work around was to simply change the units to km/hr as the speed was coming in correctly but gauge had wrong units. Had to do this with various settings in Shawdowdash as it doesn't understand metric.

Actually I tryed shadow dash today and even if I choose KPH instead MPH so it stil shows Miles. So it did not work for me eather .

Just so annoying to drive with GPS speed that can not handle the speed and lagging

Has anyone worked out how to use kph speed units? I have two speed inputs now, both reading mph. Can't say people have been impatient :D

There's been no support on this forum from the developer of MSDroid for a very long time.
