Looking for Tuner - Essex UK

Post by cammmy »

Hi All

Does anyone know of a tuner in Essex, UK? Unfortunately a lot of the tuning shops around here specifically state they won't tune MS.

There's a good reason for that. Some DIY MS installations don't just need tuning - they need fixing first. And fixing a one off can be very time consuming so expensive.

Have you got a wideband O2 sensor fitted and working? With that VEAL will get you pretty close. At less cost than a single rolling road session.

Hi, I've got a wideband o2 (and Tuner Studio with VEAL) and will be looking to do as much as I can on the fuel tables. I'd just like a professional to then check it's safe/finish it off and tune the ignition table on a dyno

The snag with pro tuning is it's easy enough to get max power set up. It's all the rest of the curve which takes the time. I'd be inclined to use an MS specialist for the tuning - even if it does involve some travel. It's such an expensive business, you want the best value.

That's fair enough. Do you have any recommendations for who I should use?

There is a well recommended chap in the Norwich area, IIRC, so not really that far. Perhaps James will remember? I've never used a tuner, so can't myself.

Great, thanks.

How do you tune ign tables? Do you have access to a dyno/hire dyno time and do it yourself?

I started out with a curve based on the figures given in my factory workshop manual.

In case anyone else needs a tuner in Essex. Torque Developments International will work with newer models:
