The components are mostly the same, but you'll need to cross-reference the two schematics.

hey guys,
im modifying a 3.57 I have for trans control and on the fp and idle output the supplemental manual says that the 3.0 transistors are marginal but the 3.57 has a pwm signal system. the info says "The fuel pump and fast idle solenoid outputs are now driven by a power driver IC (Integrated Circuit) from ST, the VNS3NV04D. This device will drive up to 3.5 amps continuous and has a clamp voltage of 40V. On the fast idle output there is a diode that minimizes power dissipation on the 3.5A driver chip for PWM fast idle applications". would this still need the tip 121 installed or would it be robust enough to run the shift solenoids a and b on a 4l80e. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

You should be fine with the VNS3NV04D.
