I will be helping a friend with a 4r70w install, and will be using this trans control code. I have spoken to James about it, and the plan is for the to be easily supported.

In operation it is almost like the GM transmissions, possibly a bit simpler, so shouldn't really be a problem.

I run a GPIO with James' code in it. I have a 2v 4.6 running on MS3, connected to a 4r75w trans run on GPIO connected over CAN to MS3 in my 1964 F100 truck I built. I used Ashford's write up http://www.msgpio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=635 as a guide to building my GPIO and it works well. I completely did away with the VR circuit for output shaft speed and went with Jean's Dual VR Board. http://jbperf.com/dual_VR/v2_1.html

With James' code it works great. I still need to spend some time with it and dial in a few things, but all the tweaky issues I had with Megashift are gone with James' code. It works very well!
