Saw some folks talking about this feature in the US Shift Quick 4 trans controller. Here is the description;
Burnout Mode *
Burnout Mode is a special feature that is tailored towards serious drag racing applications. In Burnout Mode, the transmission will always shift based on the WOT (wide open throttle) shift point values, regardless of throttle position. The purpose of this mode is to prevent premature up shifts when the throttle is adjusted to maintain a constant tire speed during burnouts or when the throttle is feathered to minimize wheel-standing or tire spin during launch. Keep your engine in the power band while heating up the hides.
Isn't this the same thing as enabling RPM based up-shifting and setting the TPS threshold to a low value in TS?

Re: "Burnout Mode"
I think you'd have to have a separate switched input for that? I use the manual mode functional based on switch input. Enter the box in manual second and get the tires spinning then manually shift to drive and can feather the throttle with no issues. Once out of the water box I switch off manual mode and based on tps enter race mode when on the transbrake and utilize shift rpm per gear at that point
Edit. Separate input for a burnout mode up shift rpm table

Good info thank you! I'll poke around in TS.nathaninwa wrote:I think you'd have to have a separate switched input for that? I use the manual mode functional based on switch input.
