Thanks for the changes. There is definitely a delay now, although the 5 seconds I have it set to seemed like around half that. I didn't have my laptop to log it though.

Is it using metric seconds? They seem shorter than our imperial seconds... Haha! :D

Two things:

First, when I tried merging my trans controller project with my engine controller, I got this and had to start a new engine project. I didn't know how to recover from it, so I've lost my custom dashboard that I never thought to save. Haha! No worries though.

I ended up (after 5 different attempts) merging them successfully using the trans.ini from version 1.0.2 beta1.

Second, I enabled brake input and used a circuit similar to Dan's shift selector input setup to take my 12v signal from the brake switch into the controller. It works great except that now when I cruise with the lockup enabled, it randomly kicks lockup out. I can't figure out how to view the brake input in my logs, so I could only turn off the input to see if the problem persisted. It seemed to disappear, which makes me wonder... Can debounce be added to the software, or should I just use a capacitor in the circuit to control occasional spikes?

Looks like there's a rogue line in the ini file, try the attached.

Awesome. I'll try it.

I'm also seeing glitches in my shift inputs. I know the selector switch is a bit glitchy. I assume there is some debounce programmed in that part of the software, as it doesn't seem to affect the actual trans control.

The lockup dropout is in the last few seconds of the log. I stopped the log as soon as I caught it.

Sorry. Here it is. And I had to edit the log down really short. Apparently the merged controllers make a much larger log file size?

The gear position menu is only used with analog shift inputs.

hi james,
I am testing E4OD with switch based shifter, but with a momentary O/D button,
however it doesnt appear the momentary o/d code is working correctly,
the O/D indicator in tunerstudio toggles states correctly when activating the momentary button however the selected gear gauge doesnt follow, it only drops back to 3 of you hold the button down and goes back to 4 after you release it (ie it seems to be operating in the same style as a latching button)
would it be possible to take a look at the momentary o/d button code and see if there is any errors there which would be affecting this?
However Latching mode works correctly

hey james, is there anyway to change the race mode settings for guys with lockup 80e

make it adjustable qualifier with mph similar to self appointed outputs

for instance, just being able to say, if i am over 80% throttle, and in third gear, lockup converter at XX mph over XX RPM as a simpler safer way to lock cars under WOT in high gear at the track

classically coming from the hp tuners world the WOT qualifier was 75-85% tps then you would give it a mph min to lock and it would lock as soon as possible over that.

would be much easier than using the timer and trying to judge what rpm vs what mph etc, kinda hard on a race car with big converter etc.

here is a similar type table off HPTUNERS

where we just put in a stupid high WOT lockup mph so it cant in 2nd or 4th but while WOT in 3rd you can see it locks at 105

I started a thread like this but based it on rpm, but i can also see mph effective also. I would take advantage of this for sure

Your screenshot must be from an old firmware.

really i downloaded the release at the top of this thread, i mean on the race options, but i guess i could mess with the regular options and use it the same way, just want my lockup hitting hard under power, and not hard when driving around...
